Moroccan-inspired spice rubs typically include a blend of warm, fragrant spices like cumin, coriander, cinnamon, ginger, and paprika. These spices are often used in Moroccan cuisine to add flavour to dishes like tagines, couscous, and grilled meats.

Product:
UK Welsh Premium Lamb Steaks (2 x 120g per pack)

Preparation Time: 15 mins Cooking Time: 15 mins Serving: 2

Ingredients:

  • 4 lamb steaks (about 6-8 ounces each)
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

 Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix cumin, coriander, cinnamon, ginger, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Rub the spice mixture onto both sides of each lamb steak.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the lamb steaks to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer if you prefer your lamb more well-done.
  5. Remove from the skillet and let the steaks rest for a few minutes before serving.

You could serve this with a side of couscous, roasted carrots or sweet potatoes, and a cucumber and tomato salad with a lemon vinaigrette. Enjoy!
