Ocean Catch Holland Seabass Fillets Boneless and Skin-On
Preparation Time: 10 mins Cooking Time: 15 mins Serving: 4
Ingredients:
- 4 sea bass fillets (approximately 250g each)
- 4 tablespoons fresh ginger, julienned
- 2 red chillies, thinly sliced
- 3 spring onions, sliced into long strips
- 4 tablespoons light soy sauce
- 2 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoon Shaoxing wine or dry sherry
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Fresh coriander leaves, for garnish
Instructions:
- Rinse the fillets under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Make a few diagonal cuts on skin side of the fish to help it cook evenly.
- Place the fillets on a heatproof dish that will fit inside your steamer.
- Scatter the julienned ginger, sliced chillies, and spring onion strips over the top of the fillets.
- In a small bowl, mix the light soy sauce, sesame oil, Shaoxing wine (or dry sherry), and sugar. Pour this mixture evenly over the fish.
- Prepare your steamer by filling a wok or large pot with water and bringing it to a boil.
- Carefully place the dish with the fish into the steamer and cover it with a lid.
- Steam the sea bass over high heat for approximately 12-15 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Once cooked, carefully remove the dish from the steamer.
- Garnish the steamed sea bass with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve the Steamed Sea Bass with Ginger, Chilli & Spring Onions with steamed rice and enjoy!
