How To Prepare Sea Bass With Ginger, Chilli & Spring Onions? 😍😍🌈🌈

Ocean Catch Holland Seabass Fillets Boneless and Skin-On 

Preparation Time: 10 mins Cooking Time: 15 mins Serving: 4 


  • 4 sea bass fillets (approximately 250g each)
  • 4 tablespoons fresh ginger, julienned
  • 2 red chillies, thinly sliced
  • 3 spring onions, sliced into long strips
  • 4 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoon Shaoxing wine or dry sherry
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Fresh coriander leaves, for garnish


  1. Rinse the fillets under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Make a few diagonal cuts on skin side of the fish to help it cook evenly.
  2. Place the fillets on a heatproof dish that will fit inside your steamer.
  3. Scatter the julienned ginger, sliced chillies, and spring onion strips over the top of the fillets.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the light soy sauce, sesame oil, Shaoxing wine (or dry sherry), and sugar. Pour this mixture evenly over the fish.
  5. Prepare your steamer by filling a wok or large pot with water and bringing it to a boil.
  6. Carefully place the dish with the fish into the steamer and cover it with a lid.
  7. Steam the sea bass over high heat for approximately 12-15 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Once cooked, carefully remove the dish from the steamer.
  9. Garnish the steamed sea bass with fresh coriander leaves.
  10. Serve the Steamed Sea Bass with Ginger, Chilli & Spring Onions with steamed rice and enjoy!
