How To Prepare Whole Chicken Barbecued?

Preparation Time: 10 mins Cooking Time: 130 mins Serving: 4/6

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 1 small lemons, cut in half
  • 1 cup Original Barbecue Sauce
  • 1 tsp. dried Italian seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled

  1. Heat up the BBQ grill for indirect grilling: Light one side of BBQ grill, leaving other side unlit. Close lid; heat BBQ grill to 350ºF.
  2. Trim & discard excess fat from chickens. Squeeze lemon juice into small bowl, save the lemon halves. Add barbecue sauce & seasoning to lemon juice, mix well.
  3. Place the 2 each lemon halves & garlic cloves inside the chicken cavity.
  4. Place chickens on the grate over the unlit area cover. Grill for1-1/2 to 2 hours or until chicken is done (165°F inside or juices running clear), turning & brushing occasionally with the sauce for the last 20 min. Remove & discard lemon halves & garlic from chickens before serving.
