Jean Moreau & Fils Chardonnay 2024
The grapes used to make this wine come from the South and West of France. The plots are made of terraces and gentle slopes with stony, clay-limestone and sandy soils, in order to get what we think is a perfect expression of the Chardonnay: fresh and fruity, yet round and fleshy.
On the nose, the wine is Intense with a hint of citrus, then complex with notes of honey and fresh fruit. The palate is fleshy and fresh; it boasts an impressively fruity, long-lasting finish. Perfect with white meat, grilled fish and seafood. Or simply alone as an aperitif.
Manatapu Sauvignon Blanc 2022
Manatapu Sauvignon Blanc 2022 offers a refined balance of gentle lime, citrus, and lemongrass notes that harmonise beautifully with delicate stone fruit flavours. Its Sancerre-like texture and fresh acidity are gracefully rounded by a subtle sweetness, creating an elegant and complex palate. This wine pairs exquisitely with fresh shellfish or spicy Asian cuisine, enhancing the dining experience with its sophisticated freshness.
Mateus The Original Rosé
Mateus The Original Rosé is a timeless Portuguese classic, first introduced in 1942 and still beloved today. Made from native varieties including Baga and Touriga Franca, it pours a vibrant pink with fresh aromas of red berries and floral hints. Light, crisp, and slightly spritzy on the palate, it finishes smoothly with a refreshing touch.
Hidden Label Langhorne Creek Malbec 2023 (KHL 2007)
From the fertile flood-plain soils of Langhorne Creek comes this expressive Malbec, offering great value and pedigree. It opens boldly with aromas of black and satsuma plums, blackcurrants, violet and a subtle under-layer of pepper, sumac and roasted red capsicum — the savoury side adding complexity to the vibrant fruit.
On the palate you’ll find rich, juicy dark-berry and red-fruit flavour, framed by fine, chalky tannins and well-judged oak that enhances without overwhelming. The balance between plush texture and fresh acidity gives the wine approachability now, while providing the structure for a rewarding drinking window to 2030+. Reviewers have praised it with a 95-point score from the Halliday panel, with one calling it “Malbec this good at this price, really, it doesn’t get any better.”
Whether enjoyed now or cellared for a few years, this Malbec stands as a benchmark Australian varietal — bold yet elegant, with regional character and winemaker intent clearly in every sip. Perfect with hearty red meats, rich pasta dishes or simply on its own when you want something full-flavoured yet refined.
Charles de Cazanove Champagne Brut Nature NV
The name, history, and legend of Maison Charles de Cazanove — now one of the key houses in the world of Champagne — span more than 200 years, and the quality of its winemaking is evident in each and every drop.
Charles de Cazanove utilises both stainless steel vats and oak barrels in the vinification process, the latter used to deliver fullness to the wine where necessary.
Charles de Cazanove Champagne Brut Nature NV is a blend of Pinot Noir (50%), Meunier (25%) and Chardonnay (25%), this non-dosed cuvée is smooth on the palate. It is full-bodied, with a hint of dried fruit, then mature, especially poached yellow fruit. With a hint of candied zest, the finish is salty and sea-scented.
Riondo Valpolicella Ripasso DOC 2018
Crafted in the heart of Italy's Veneto region, the 2018 vintage of Riondo Valpolicella Ripasso DOC is a testament to traditional winemaking excellence. This red blend, produced by the renowned Cantine Riondo winery, showcases a meticulous selection of Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes, partially dried using the Ripasso-method to concentrate flavours and aromas.
The wine presents a deep ruby hue and an aromatic bouquet of black fruits and mocha, complemented by hints of plum, black cherry, and damson. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied, offering a harmonious blend of dried figs, dates, and a lingering, pleasantly warming, lightly spiced finish.
