Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 1 cup uncooked rice
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 can of cream of mushroom
- 1 can cream of chicken
- 2 cup water
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat with the onion and celery until softened. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir the soy sauce, cream of mushroom, and cream of chicken into the skillet until well combined.
- Grease a 2-quart casserole dish. Add the uncooked rice and the meat mixture, then pour in 2 cups of water. Stir gently to ensure the rice is submerged.
- Cover tightly with a lid or foil (essential to steam the rice). Bake at 165°C (325°F) for 2 hours.
- Remove from the oven and let the dish stand, covered, for 10 minutes before serving to allow the rice to finish absorbing the moisture.
