How To Prepare Lamb Kofta? 😍😍🌈🌈

Preparation Time: 45 mins / Cook Time: 15 mins / Serving: 4 
 
Ingredients: 

  • 2 packs of UK Welsh Premium Lean Lamb Mince (400g)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped 
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced 
  • 1 tsp ground cumin 
  • 1 tsp ground coriander 
  • 1 tsp paprika 
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 
  • 1/2 tsp ground allspice 
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional) 
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped 
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped 
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten 
  • Salt and pepper, to taste 
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water for at least 30 minutes 

Instructions: 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the lamb mince, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, allspice, cayenne pepper (if using), parsley, mint, beaten egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine. 
  2. Divide the mixture into 8-10 portions and roll each portion into a sausage shape. 
  3. Thread each sausage shape onto a wooden skewer and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavours to develop. 
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using an oven, preheat to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper. 
  5. Grill or bake the kofta for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through. 
  6. Serve the kofta hot with a yogurt sauce and pita bread, if desired.
