Ingredients:
Salad
- 200g Garden Peas
- 100g Bacon
- 1/4 small red onion chopped
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt & pepper to taste
Dressing
- 1/4 cup mayo
- 1/2 tablespoon adobo sauce or to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions:
- Place the peas in a colander and rinse them under cool water. Allow them to drain thoroughly.
- In the meantime, fry the bacon in a pan until it becomes crispy. You can cut the bacon into smaller pieces using kitchen shears to make it easier to handle. Once the bacon is cooked, drain the excess fat.
- Prepare the dressing by combining the dressing ingredients in a bowl. Mix them together until the dressing becomes smooth. You can adjust the amounts of adobo sauce, lemon juice, and other ingredients to achieve your desired flavor combination. Feel free to experiment and add more of any ingredient you prefer.
- In a large salad bowl, add the drained peas, chopped bacon, and any other desired ingredients you may want to include in your salad.
- Pour the prepared dressing over the ingredients in the salad bowl. Toss everything together until the dressing coats the peas and bacon evenly.
- Season the salad with salt and pepper according to your taste preferences.
- For the best flavor, it's recommended to refrigerate the salad for about an hour before serving. This allows the flavors to meld together.
