Preparation Time: 15 mins Cooking Time: 15 mins Serving: 4

  • 4 Pork shoulder steaks
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • All-purpose flour
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Optional seasonings or spices of your choice (e.g., paprika, garlic powder, onion powder)
    1. Season the pork shoulder steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides. You can also add any additional seasonings or spices according to your taste preferences.
    2. Place the flour in a shallow dish or plate. Dredge each pork shoulder steak in the flour, ensuring it is evenly coated on all sides.
    3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Add enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan, creating a shallow frying environment.
    4. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the coated pork shoulder steaks to the pan. Be cautious to avoid overcrowding the pan; fry in batches if necessary.
    5. Fry the steaks for approximately 3-4 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Adjust the cooking time based on the thickness of the steaks.
    6. Once cooked, transfer the fried pork shoulder steaks to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil. This helps maintain their crispiness.
    7. Allow the steaks to rest for a few minutes before serving to retain their juiciness. Serve them hot with your favorite side dishes or sauces.
